Windsor Parking Garage Collapses
Jul 08 2010 | 2 years ago | Add Comment

A state of emergency has been declared in downtown Windsor after a parking garage collapsed in the 13-hundred block of Ouellette Avenue.

A cherry picker truck was parked on the top level of the parking structure when the floor gave way to the lower level below.  An unnamed official says a worker was taken to hospital with facial lacerations and a possible broken foot.  Acting fire prevention officer John Lee says provincial officials have been called in to help the local emergency effort.  No word when the area will be open again to the public.  The search for possible victims continues.
