Despite an odd taste or odour, the drinking water in Chatham-Kent is safe.

A number of residents have reported a number of irregularities including a yellow discolouration with their water over the past week.

Tom Kissner, General Manager of Chatham-Kent Public Utilities says changes to the water treatment procedure, including adding more chlorine will help clean out the water.
