The Town of Essex is establishing a committee to consider the widening of County Road 50 to allow for safe pedestrian travel.

Councillor Paul Innes says sidewalks are needed because more cars and people are touring the wineries in the region.

The development could take a while to put in motion because the Town will have to work with the County.
