Howard Mutual is investing $1.5-million in a new medical centre for Ridgetown. The insurance company has launched the Howard Mutual Foundation, aimed at the continued improvement of the community. Company president Steve Benishek says the first order of business is addressing health care with the new medical centre. The Howard Mutual Medical Centre will cost about $1.8-million and will have space for four physicians, two nurse practitioners and rooms for health education and training. The Chatham-Kent Family Health Team will lease the building, which is expected to be ready early next year.
