Developer of Grace Site Still A No Show At Windsor City Hall

Officials at Windsor’s Building Department are still waiting to see Lou Vozza, the developer charged with building the new long-term care facility at the old Grace Hospital.

The Ministry of Health has signed off on the design of the new long-term care facility at the old Grace site.  The next step is to get the building permit and officials figured they’d see Vozza Wednesday morning.  He reportedly attended a funeral instead.

Vozza is already a target for critics fed up with delays in the project.   Last month, Windsor Regional Hospital CEO, David Musyj, called on the Ministry to reissue the tender.

Windsor West MPP Sandra Pupatello has been working closely with Ministry officials to move the project ahead as fast as possible.  She insists the long-term care facility will be built by the end of the year.
