Engine Shortage Forces Chrysler Layoff
Mar 31 2011 | 1 year ago | Add Comment
Production will halt next week at Windsor’s Chrysler Assembly Plant.   CAW officials say the unexpected layoff is due to an engine shortage.

All workers are being told to report for their regular shifts on Friday where they’ll receive official notice from the company.  Local 444 posted a message on its facebook page Thursday night to inform its members.

A message by a union official earlier in the day stated the work stoppage was because of a “meltdown” at Chrysler’s engine plant in Trenton, Michigan.
