A 20-year-old Windsor man faces a number of drug and assault charges stemming from incidents that date back to December.

Police say a 36-year-old was attacked at Mynt Nightclub downtown, and they were finally able to identify a suspect in that case last week.  They spotted their suspect driving a pick-up truck on February 2nd, and went to make an arrest at a parking lot on Howard Ave.  That’s when the suspect sped off.

The truck was later found abandoned with over $22,000 worth of marijuana inside.

Anthony James Amante is now in police custody.
