Deth Wish
Megadeth and Rob Zombie have announced a co-headlining tour this May. It’s the first time the two acts have toured together, according to hennemusic.com. The trek begins May 11 in Holmdel, New Jersey, and will include multiple festivals before concluding on May 26 at Rocklahoma. Zombie is headlining Rocklahoma and co-headlining Rock on the Range (with Incubus); he’ll also close all of the other shows.
Lemmy at ’Em
Motörhead’s Lemmy Kilmister has spoken out against the price of his band’s new box set. The new box set in question, Complete Early Years Box Set, has been priced at around $600. According to CNN.com, Lemmy blames record company greed on the pricing: “Unfortunately greed once again rears its yapping head,” he said. “I would advise against it even for the most rabid completists!”
Why Did the Chicken Go on the Road?
Chickenfoot has unveiled a 20-date North American tour, which will begin in the spring. The Different Devil Tour 2012 will begin May 4 in Lake Tahoe, Nevada and conclude June 10 in Los Angeles, according to Ultimate Classic Rock. Drummer Chad Smith is still touring with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, so Kenny Aronoff will still be filling in and joining Sammy Hagar, Joe Satriani and Michael Anthony.
