Officers have dealt with a number of mugging-style robberies.

A 28-year-old has been treated in hospital for head injuries after being attacked at Kildare and Wyandotte. A 35-year-old has been arrested and charged with assault.

Police say three or four men attacked a younger victim near a Forest Glade skate park.

And finally, there was another assault on Erie Street downtown where one man was sent to hospital.

There was also some vandalism around town. Windows were broken at the Bearded Clam on Mill Street. And two people have been charged with mischief after smashing the doors at the Petro-Can in the 7400 block of Tecumseh Road East.

Police say the suspects were blatant in that they scaled the fence to the Ford Nemak Plant before the sun set early last night. Security guards called authorities who arrived to catch the suspects in the act. Officers seized paint cans, rollers, extension polls and two digital cameras. The suspects will answer to the charge in court in May.
